Although spring beans have been part of our rotation for many years, this is only the second time in 20 years we have drilled spring cereals. Soil conditions were still not ideal, however the top two inches were in a reasonable state and so the drill ventured out of the shed. This week's forecast is for better growing conditions..... fingers crossed !

Finally Spring Drilling
The 'cold wet weather' finally gave way to 'cold dry weather' and spring beans and barley drilling finally got underway.
Although spring beans have been part of our rotation for many years, this is only the second time in 20 years we have drilled spring cereals. Soil conditions were still not ideal, however the top two inches were in a reasonable state and so the drill ventured out of the shed. This week's forecast is for better growing conditions..... fingers crossed !
