Great British Beef Supper

We are always pleased to support British produce and on Monday evening at Launde Abbey our Great British Beef Supper turned out to be a splendid evening.

Over 50 people turned out and enjoyed a meal of roast beef and apple pie. The food was outstanding and Launde Abbey were the perfect hosts.

Thanks to the participants, GWCT Alleton Project, ABP and the NFU for supporting this event. Those present raised £885 for R.A.B.I

Finally Spring Drilling

The 'cold wet weather' finally gave way to 'cold dry weather' and spring beans and barley drilling finally got underway.
Although spring beans have been part of our rotation for many years, this is only the second time in 20 years we have drilled spring cereals. Soil conditions were still not ideal, however the top two inches were in a reasonable state and so the drill ventured out of the shed. This week's forecast is for better growing conditions..... fingers crossed !
