Cover Crop Update

The catchy weather is proving challenging for the farm crops but the cover crops seem to be thriving. Below are a few photographs showing how they are progressing. Richard Barnes from Kings and Loddington keeper James Watchorn have overseen an interesting mixture of crops which have responded well to their management.

  1. I enjoyed my visit to the facility recently but the crops I saw looked nothing like the ones in the photo's. These seem to be well established crops where as those seen on the visit were struggling to get established. Over all I liked everything I saw, it was very informative and helpful. Keep up the good work.

  2. Barry,
These photos were taken at Loddington in Oct 2012 when the blog was posted. This year our spring sown covers are struggling on heavy land. I will post more photos to show progress through the season. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
